This album is pretty amazing. It's like orchestral black metal. Except not in the overproduced Dimmu Borgir way. More like depressive black metal with some very intense classical, blues, and jazz parts, all mixed together into one weird album which feels like a black metal variation on Theatre of the Absurd. Absolutely brilliant album, from one man. Definitely a must-hear, for anyone!
It wasn't really my thing, but not in a "This is bad" way. I appreciate the originality (it's really all over the place), but I didn't really get hooked on it. I might give it another go and see if it resonates any more this time around.
Great album last year, and an even better one this year, from a truely amazing band. They may never break out of the constraints of the metal scene but they could become legends within it.

I have the same exact thoughts on this album. I've listened to it a handful of times and its not really sticking with me either.
